Godzilla Vs Kong

Our simian star is seen getting up in the morning, scratching his ass, grabbing a shower, and greeting his tiny tot friend before grabbing a spear and angrily chucking it through the dome of his artificial enclosure.

The decision is made to move Kong to hollow Earth albeit amid the ever present danger of Godzillas murderous rampages, as something has gone very wrong and Godzilla is now being extremely violent and killing human beings.

The giant ape is chained to the ship and everything goes well for a few days until Godzilla's trademark jagged fins are seen slicing through the water. The ship capsizes with Kong still in chains. The leader of team Kong frees the ape so he's not a sitting duck.Godzilla grabs Kong and begins to head to the deepest reaches of the ocean, only stopped when the military showers him with depth charges. The enraged reptile only breaks off his attack when the ship goes silent.

Team Godzilla, headed by Madison Russell and two friends, decided to infiltrate Apex to try to learn the reason for the apparent change in Godzilla's demeanor. They soon wander into the complex and discover that skull crawlers are being smuggled in stasis tubes, that King Ghidorah's remaining skull is in use as a control deck, that it's brain matter is being used to control a deadly new Apex predator called Mechagodzilla, a Titan that is as evil as it is destructive. The terrified onlookers watch a skull crawler be torn down the middle lengthwise by its piercing laser ray.

Meanwhile, Kong is airlifted the rest of the way to Antarctica where he enters the Hollow Earth. One thinks of the old Land of the Lost series as he tumbles down into the chasm. He makes his way to an underground chamber where he finds an axe made from a spine from Dagon, the Godzilla skeleton seen at the beginning of the first movie, and a leg from the MUTO Prime. Just as he lays the axe down to charge it, the APex team leader takes a sample of the power source and uploads it to Apex. Ren Serizawa who up until now wanted to avenge his father's death, meets a horrific fate as the AI gains self awareness through Ghidorah's brain and sends a surge of current to electrocute Serizawa to death.

Godzilla, who has been trying all this time to locate and stamp out every last trace of the alien dragon, makes a beeline for Hong Kong. He then seems to sense Kong's presence in the middle of Hollow Earth and sends a white hot streaming jet of plasma down through the Earth's crust. Kong becomes enraged and begins to scamper up the hole to fight Godzilla once again. The two titans engage in absolutely brutal warfare.
Only ending in Kong moaning in pain from a shoulder dislocation and Godzilla standing stop him bellowing in wrath.
Kong drops out and Mechagodzilla emerged from his underground base after killing the APex CEO. Godzilla is no match for this new terror, and the mechanized giant is about to decapitate Godzilla with its breath weapon when Kong, newly revived from apparent death by an exploding exploratory vessel, intervenes with the axe, which Godzilla charges with his atomic breath. Kong finally succeeds in pulling Mechagodzillas head off it's body and holding it aloft like a trophy after Madison and friends short the control panel with a bottle of whiskey.

The two titans behold one another as they declare an armistice with Godzilla going back to patrol the ocean and Kong goes back to his new pad in Hollow Earth and stuffs himself with bananas.

Editors note: there are a lot of Easter eggs referring to the old timer King Kong vs Godzilla. I had a great time with this movie. I have not had my blood run this cold since Godzilla 1985.
